INTERVIEWS
In Conversation With ...
In 1994 I directed a documentary entitled 5475 Days Dis May, featuring members of Cud and The Human League, which asked the question: When is Leeds, like Sheffield, going to get its very own dedicated media/music centre and an arena?
By 2005, the music/media centre had already come to fruition, but the arena was still 7 years away.
A conversion between Mark Sturdy, author of Truth and Beauty: the story of Pulp, and I that same year came up with the idea of a follow up, which would also catch Leeds in the midst of a golden period for music. It seemed as if everyone wanted to be in a band, with a huge amount of venues willing and able to put them on.
For several reasons, the follow up was sadly never completed, with the interviews remaining unseen. Until now!
